The Commissioner for Housing, Cross River State, Dr. Mrs. Beatrice Igwe on Wednesday lend her voice in celebrating workers on the occasion of the International Workers’ Day celebration and welcomed all to the new month of May 2024.
In a New Month and Workers’ Day message, the Honourable Commissioner for Housing, acknowledges the doggedness and intellectual capacity of workers over the years in delivering on the policies and programmes of government.
She said while the new month ushers fresh hope and opportunity to attain and accomplish our dreams for the year, the celebration of the International Workers’ Day provides the platform to give workers their flowers and assure them of conducive working conditions and remuneration.
Hon Dr Beatrice Igwe urged workers to take the opportunity of the Workers’ Day celebration to unwind and refuel for effective and efficient service delivery, adding that workers must be appreciated for their untiring labour towards sustaining governance.
She said, “I welcome all friends, family, well wishers, colleagues and indeed all Cross Riverians to tgw New Month of May and also wish all workers, especially our beloved workers in the Ministry of Housing Cross River State a profound happy Workers’ Day celebration today.
“May the new month usher all of us into fresh hope and opportunity to attain and achieve our lofty goals for the year 2024.”
“Dear Workers on this auspicious occasion of Workers’ Day celebration I urge you to remain committed and undeterred towards effective and efficient service delivery. Your labours for.our dear State will always be remembered and rewarded. Enjoy the celebration and return with fresh vigor and vitality to join our dear Governor, His Excellency, Sen Prince Bassey Edet Otu to deliver on his People First Agenda on Housing.”
